Chihiro Kaneko worked out at Hotto Motto Kobe on Thursday. He played some catch and also threw the baseball against the outfield walls. Still no timetable on when he will toss a bullpen session (right upper arm fatigue), however Akinobu Okada did tell managers that he felt Kaneko would be ok for the start of the regular season if he can pitch in at least one more game.
Today's Kyoiku League game against Softbank at the Kobe secondary field: Kazuki Kondo started the game and did not alow a run or a hit over three innings of work. He also topped out at 142km/h. It was Kondo's first game since he had right elbow surgery in November last year. [Nikkan Sports]
