Chicago White Sox 5 - Seattle Mariners 0
Kosuke Fukudome (CHW) started in center and batted second.  He went 0-for-4: strikeout looking, fly out to center, fly out to center, ground out to first.  Fukudome was replaced on defense in the 8th. [Sanspo]

Boston Red Sox 7 - Balitmore Orioles 4
Junichi Tazawa (BOS) entered the game with no one on and two out in the top of the 7th, with the Red Sox up 7-1, and allowed three runs on three hits over one inning of work.  Final line: 1 IP, 7 BF, 3 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 1 SO, 0 HR. [Sanspo]

Ichiro Suzuki (SEA) did not play in Saturday's game against the Chicago White Sox and instead worked out for about an hour and a half at the facilities in Peoria, AZ.  Ichiro took fifty-three swings during batting practice and hit twelve over the fence.  He also spent some time tracking down baseballs in right during batting practice.


Hideki Matsui (FA) told reporters on Friday that he had nothing new to report and that he was continuing his workouts.


Daisuke Matsuzaka (BOS) could pitch in a game sometime in early April and make it back to the MLB roster in May.


Yu Darvish (TEX) threw thirty-six pitches in the bullpen on Saturday.  It was his second session in as many days.  Darvish is expected to toss about sixty-five pitches over four innings during his next exhibition game start on March 19.

On Friday, Darvish threw sixteen pitches in the bullpen before pausing to speak with pitching coach Mike Maddux.  He then closed out his session with eight more pitches.
