Yoshinori Tateyama (TEX) entered the game in the 8th, with the Rangers down 4-3, and allowed a run on one hit over an inning in relief.  Final line: 1 IP, 14-9 NP-S, 4 BF, 1 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 0 SO, 1 HR. [Sanspo]

Norichika Aoki (MIL) started in center and batted eighth.  He went 3-for-3: RBI single to center, single to center (steals second), two-run triple to right.  Aoki was replaced on defense in the 7th inning. [Sanspo]


Daisuke Matsuzaka (BOS) threw forty pitches during batting practice against minor league players on Monday.


Via SanspoTsuyoshi Nishioka (MIN) was optioned to Triple-A on Monday morning.


Hisashi Iwakuma's next outing was moved due to the rain-out on March 18 -- it will now be against the Cincinnati Reds on March 20 (second pitcher, fifty-sixty pitches).


Yu Darvish is scheduled to toss about five innings during an intra-squad start against minor league players on March 25.
