Via Sanspo, the Red Sox sent Junichi Tazawa (BOS) down to Triple-A Pawtucket on Friday.

Via Nikkan SportsMinnesota Posts' Aaron Gleeman on Tsuyoshi Nishioka (MIN):

Nishioka was a colossal failure and reportedly showed no signs of improvement early in camp, but I'm still surprised that the Twins demoted him as part of the second round of cuts and did so without an obvious in-house utility infielder alternative. Expectations for Nishioka were inflated by winning the Japanese batting title in 2010 with a .346 average, but that was fueled by an unsustainable .395 mark on balls in play and his prior track record wasn't nearly as impressive.

Tsuyoshi Wada (BAL) did not experience any physical problems on Friday after throwing forty-seven pitches during a minor league game on Thursday.  Workouts on Friday included playing catch and long distance throwing (about seventy meters).  And while there is no timetable on when he will pitch next, he is expected to go about four to five innings.

Yu Darvish (TEX) threw thirty-six pitches, including off-speed pitches like curves and sliders, during his bullpen session on Friday.  He also switched over to pitching out of the set partway through the session and had a coach stand in the batter's box.

Sanspo notes that Mike Napoli offered to drive Darvish around after finding out he did not like to drive.
