This post will be updated, as needed, throughout the day.

A number of players from the Seattle Mariners and Oakland A's will be holding a baseball clinic at Ishinomaki Stadium in Ishinomaki, Miyagi on March 27.  One hundred elementary school kids are expected to attend.

Nine kids will also be selected to participate in a pre-game ceremony on March 28 (they will take the field with the Oakland A's).

Both teams are also scheduled to visit US military bases before their game on March 28 -- the Mariners will visit Camp Zama; the A's will visit Yokota Air Base.

About one-hundred and fifty fans and around fifty reporters greeted the Ichiro Suzuki and the Seattle Mariners at Narita Airport on Friday.

The Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum is speaking to the MLB in the hopes of working out a deal that will allow them to put Ichiro's uniform and equipment on display (the one he will be wearing in Japan).

Good to see you military folks spending all your time protecting freedom or whatever instead of pointless stuff like improving your English grammar.
