Notes

Hanshin: Fujikawa topped out at 147km/h.  He gave Yutaka Wada the game ball at the end of the game. ... Brazell left the game on defense in the 4th inning because he was not feeling well.

The Baystars played real baseball yesterday. A tie is as good as a win in my book. See you at the ballpark on the 14th.

Looks like you got the BayStars book there, Steve. A tie is about as close to a win as your boys are likely to get most days. When I was a Yokohama fan (yes, I really was), I used to enjoy rain outs. They can’t lose if they don’t play. Of course, that is not always true during the offseason (I refer to the days they lost Murata, Uchikawa, Sledge, etc., etc.).
