Arn Tellem on Hideki Matsui (FA), via Sponichi: "I have nothing to report.  I am in the process of getting in touch with teams to see if there is interest."  With regards to the possibility of signing a minor league deal or signing with an independent league team: "There is nothing I can say about that right now."


Hiroki Kuroda (NYY) threw thirty-six pitches in the bullpen on Tuesday.  He also spoke to pitching coach Larry Rothschild about the cutter he had problems with during his last outing.


The latest on Yoshinori Tateyama (TEX), from the Star Telegram's Jeff Wilson:

Right-hander Yoshinori Tateyama (back strain) threw his second bullpen session since landing on the 15-day disabled list and will begin a medical rehabilitation assignment today with Triple A Round Rock.

He said that the injury, suffered late in spring training, continues to improve. He can be on assignment for 30 days before the Rangers have to reinstate him from the DL or option him to the minors.


Tsuyoshi Wada (BAL) is slated to pitch in a minor league practice game on April 14.
