Kei Igawa will get a start during a three-game Ni-gun series against Hiroshima that begins on April 17 (two-three innings). On Friday, Igawa threw eighty-two pitches during batting practice.
Senichi Hoshino recorded his 989th career managerial victory on Friday night and moved into sole possession of twelfth place on the All-time list. Hoshino recorded his first victory with the Chunichi Dragons on April 12, 1987 (vs Yomiuri).
