The Texas Rangers announced today that right-handed pitcher Yoshinori Tateyama has been recalled from his rehab assignment, reinstated from the 15-day disabled list, and optioned to Triple-A Round Rock of the Pacific Coast League.
Tateyama was placed on the 15-day disabled list on April 4, retroactive to March 30, with a low back muscle strain. He was sent to Round Rock on rehab assignment on April 11 and retired all three batters he faced with one strikeout in his only appearance on Friday vs. Iowa.
Tsuyoshi Wada (BAL) threw 100 pitches during a minor league game on Saturday. He faced a total twenty-three batters and allowed two hits, walked five, struck out seven, and did not give up any runs.
Wada is currently slated to start a AAA Norfolk game on April 19.
