Hitoshi Tamura played in a Ni-gun game against Hanshin (DH, batted third) on Thursday and went 2-for-2 with three RBI. Tamura hit an RBI double to right in the 1st inning and a two-run single to right in the 2nd inning.
Hiroki Kokubo did not play in Thursday's game against Orix because of pain in his lower back. He is considered day-to-day.
