Softbank Hawks

Nobuhiko Matsunaka stole second in the 4th inning of Sunday's game against the Rakuten Eagles.  For Matsunaka, it was his first stolen base since June 5, 2010.

Said Matsunaka, "[Yuya] Hasegawa was behind in the count [and there were two out].  So I thought it would be ok even if I got thrown out."

Matsunaka tried to show more of his "speed" when he attempted to score from second on Hasegawa's single to center, but was thrown out at the plate.

Seibu Lions

Micheal Nakamura will be demoted to make room for Taiyo Fujita.

Rakuten Eagles

Manabu Mima will likely take Masahiro Tanaka's spot on the active roster.

Chiba Lotte Marines

According to Sponichi: Rookies Yuhei Nakaushiro and Takahiro Fujioka have each recorded one win.  The last time the Lotte fielded two or more rookies that recorded their first victory in their first year was 2001: Shunsuke Watanabe and Kosuke Kato.  And the last time two or more rookies recorded their first victory before the end of April in franchise history was in 1956: Katsumi Nakanishi and Shoichi Ono.

Nikkan Sports adds that asides from Nakauhiro/Fujioka (2012) and Nakanishi/Ono (1956), the franchise recorded two other seasons where two or more rookies recorded their first career victory before the end of April: Atsushi Aramaki, Shigeo Ueno, Yoshimi Ebara, and Heishichi Sato in 1950; and Toshinobu Sueyoshi and Isamu Wada in 1952.
