Motonobu Tanishige hit a homer off Masanori Ishikawa in the 7th inning of tonight's game against the Yakult Swallows.  That gives him at least one homer in twenty-four consecutive seasons.  While Katsuya Nomura holds the record for the longest streak at twenty-five years, Tanishige now owns the record for a player that connected at least once in twenty-four consecutive seasons, beginning with his first season.  The previous record of twenty-three was held by Isao Harimoto and Hiromitsu Kadota.
