Maximo Nelson (right shoulder) tossed a shutout 9th against the Ni-gun Hanshin Tigers on Tuesday. He allowed one hit and topped out at 150km/h.
Nelson is expected to pitch in another game (two innings) some time before the end of the month. With the Dragons thinking about using Nelson in a relief role, it is possible he could return to the active roster some time during Golden Week.
About ninety people attended Masahiro Yamamoto's father's funeral services on Tuesday.
The Swallows do not plan on taking Shingo Kawabata off the active roster because they feel the tightness in his lower back is nothing serious and because they are hoping he will be able to play during their nine game stretch that begins on April 28.
Wladimir Balentien has three homers in his last four games. His wife and daughter are scheduled to arrive in Japan in early May.

Tomoaki Kanemoto practiced his swing at Koshien Stadium for about an hour after Tuesday night's loss against the Hiroshima Carp.
Akihito Fujii (left cheek) special order catcher's mask arrived on Tuesday.
"The [mask] does not really feel too weird. It is obviously best to avoid [foul tips], but this is not something that can be practiced," said Fujii.
While there is no set timetable on Fujii's return, it appears the Tigers are looking at early May as a possibility.
Kazuhito Futagami started a Ni-gun game against Chunichi today and gave up seven runs on nine hits over 5.2 innings of work. That includes four runs in the 1st inning (on five hits) and three runs in the 6th inning.
