Softbank Hawks

Koji Akiyama recorded his 250th managerial victory on Tuesday.

Kodai Senga could make his Ichi-gun debut on April 30 (vs Lotte at QVC Marine).

Senga also started a Ni-gun start against Orix on Tuesday and gave up one run on three hits over five innings of work.  He also topped out at 148km/h and struck out seven.

Brad Penny met with Koji Akiyama at Yahoo Dome on Tuesday to discuss his rehab schedule moving forward.  Penny also reportedly threw about forty pitches in the bullpen on Tuesday.

Seibu Lions

The Lions are 0-7-2 over their last nine regular season games against the Softbank Hawks.

Orix Buffaloes

The Buffaloes are planning to give Ryoichi Adachi a look in the outfield since the infield position at the Ichi-gun level are pretty much full -- Aarom Baldiris at third, Keiji Obiki at short, and Mitsutaka Goto at second.

More on Kei Igawa's Ni-gun start against Softbank on Tuesday: He topped out at 136km/h; surrendered four runs in the 1st inning on four hits, which also included three triples.

===

A little more on Akinobu Okada's coaching session on Monday: he worked with Tomotaka Sakaguchi and Keiji Obiki for about forty-five minutes.  The quote about hitting into double plays was apparently directed at Obiki, but likely applies to any hitter on the team.

Rakuten Eagles

Masahiro Tanaka (tightness in back) started workouts at the Ni-gun facilities in Izumi, Sendai on Tuesday -- he did not play catch but did spend about twenty minutes on walking and weight training exercises.
