Softbank Hawks

According to Sports Hochi Osaka: When Kodai Senga records his first Ichi-gun victory, he will become just the fourth former Ikusei pitcher to do.  The other three: Tetsuya Yamaguchi (Yomiuri, first victory in second outing), Hiroki Yamada (Softbank, first victory in third outing), and Yuki Kuniyoshi (Yokohama, first victory in sixth outing).

Nippon Ham Fighters

The coaches, players, and staff celebrated Atsunori Inaba's 2,000th career hit after they returned to the team hotel on Saturday.

The team will be giving away commemorative items during their next home stand at Sapporo Dome (May 1-3).  A number of 2,000 hit merchandise will also be available.

Orix Buffaloes

Team owner Yoshihiko Miyauchi expressed his frustrations to reporters after Saturday's loss to the Seibu Lions.

"I do not know if the team is in a rut or if they are weak.  The game was awful.  Maybe they have no desire to win.  Nishi was awful, the bench was awful.  That is not the way the game should be played.  The defense is awful as well. ... Nishi gave up runs after getting two outs.  And the grounder to the pitcher [in the 6th inning made me think he was] not taking baseball seriously. ... Watching the game today, it was about energy.  I am really upset today," said Miyauchi.

Mr. Miyauchi, the team is in a rut or weak because they stink!Feel free to fire idiot Akinobu Okada.

I don’t know how he kept his job after last year. I can understand their pitching not being strong now but there’s no excuse for their lack of offense.

When he keeps recycling players like Suzuki (3 homeruns and 55 RBI in 15 years), Yoshida (28 hits in 8 years, Shunta ( hit .100 last year), Moriyama, Ito etc. Players who can barely hit .150 instead of upgrading. That’s why they can’t score.
