According to Nikkan Sport: Yuki Saito has stopped two four-game losing streaks in his career: August 27, 2011 vs Seibu at Seibu Dome and May 4, 2012 vs Orix at Sapporo Dome.

Since moving to Sapporo, Yu Darvish holds the team record with seven victories after four or more consecutive team losses.

Atsunori Inaba started the season off with a bat weighing 910 grams, up ten grams from last season.  He recently switched to a slightly lighter bat at 905 grams.

Seibu Lions

Hideaki Wakui started 175 consecutive Ichi-gun games before making his first Ichi-gun relief appearance on Friday.  The 175 consecutive Ichi-gun starts is an NPB record for Japanese players.  Nathan Minchey holds the NPB record of 187.

Wakui was slated to start a Ni-gun game against Lotte on Friday, but since the game was rained out, he joined the Ichi-gun team a day earlier than originally planned.

Orix Buffaloes

Tomotaka Sakaguchi's streak of playing in every inning of every game ended on Friday at 179.
