Sponichi reports that WBC Inc plans to list Japan as a tentative participant in the program outline for the 3rd World Baseball Classic.  The outline will likely be release some time during the MLB All-Star Break.

The Japan Professional Baseball Players Association is threatening to boycott the WBC if they do not receive a larger share of the revenue from the tournament.  With the preliminary rounds for the WBC slated to begin later this year and still not firm decision on what the JPBPA wants to do, WBC Inc plans to show Japan as a tentative participant.
