Softbank Hawks

Hiroki Kokubo started at first and batted fourth in a Ni-gun game against Hiroshima today.  He went 0-for-2: walk, strikeout swinging, reached on E7.  He was removed from the game in the 7th inning.  Kokubo will likely be added to the active roster on Sunday.  Source: Nikkan Sports 6/23/2012, Daily Sports 6/23/2012

Nippon Ham Fighters

Atsunori Inaba twisted his left ankle while sliding into second in the 2nd inning of today's game against the Softbank Hawks (his foot got caught on the bag).  He was removed from the game on defense in the bottom of the 2nd.  Inaba is considered day-to-day and is scheduled for a hospital visit on Monday.  Source: Sponichi 6/23/2012

Hideki Kuriyama did not realize how much trouble Yuki Saito had with the Yahoo Dome mound until reading the papers this morning.  He later told reporters that Saito should not have been afraid to speak up during the game.  Source: Nikkan Sports 6/23/2012

Seibu Lions
