Chunichi Dragons

Morimichi Takagi and pitching coach Hiroshi Gondo spent about fifteen minutes making changes to the starting rotation after Tuesday's rain-out.  As of now: Kazuki Yoshimi and Yudai Kawai will get bumped back one day and squeeze Takashi Ogasawara out of the rotation; Enyelbert Soto will get a start during a three-game series against Hanshin (July 10-12); and Shinji Tajima will return to active roster (bullpen) on Friday.  Source: Nikkan Sports 7/4/2012

Yomiuri Giants

Tuesday's rain-out gave the Giants some breathing room in the starting rotation.  They were initially short one start this week, but now they can go Tetsuya Utsumi, Dicky Gonzalez, Hirokazu Sawamura, Toshiya Sugiuchi, and Dennis Houlton over their next five games.  Source: Daily Sports 7/4/2012

While Houlton (discomfort in right elbow) is currently slated to start Sunday's game against Hanshin, the Giants are not sure if he will be ready for it.  If not, Seiji Tahara may be given another shot.  Source: Nikkan Sports 7/4/2012

Hanshin Tigers

Kyuji Fujikawa was re-evaluated at a hospital in Osaka on Tuesday morning before workouts in the afternoon.  Depending on the weather and his health, Fujikawa could toss live batting practice as early as today.  Assuming no problems, he could make it back to the active roster for the Yomiuri series that begins on July 6.  Source: Sports Hochi 7/4/2012

Fujikawa tempered expectations and told reporters, "More than my feel for facing batters, I need to find out how my knee feels when I pitch.  I need to check on a few things before deciding.  I do not know when [I will return to Ichi-gun].  When I do return, I need to stay there until the end."  Source: Nikkan Sports 7/4/2012
