Orix Buffaloes sign Island League pitcher Alex Maestri

The Orix Buffaloes announced today that they signed Alex Maestri to a deal worth an estimated 2.2M yen that is good through to the end of the season. He was also assigned the number ninety-one.
The Buffaloes see Maestri as a pitcher in the starting rotation.

Will he start playing in minors, right?
Or does he will be with the NPB pro baseball team?
My guess is that they will start him at Ni-gun (minors) and then move him up to Ichi-gun.
The Buffaloes are scheduled to throw a press conference for Maestri on Friday.
Zunflaz, sorry I didn’t see your comment before I posted mine yesterday. Congratulations on the signing – my criticism was of Orix’s management, not of Alex’s chances.
