The Japan Amateur Baseball Association held a board of directors meeting on Thursday and decided that the 2013 Inter-City Baseball Tournament will take place over a twelve-day period, at Tokyo Dome, beginning on July 12.
They also approved summer exhibition games in areas that were affected by the Tohoku Earthquake -- Iwate, Miyagi, and Fukushima -- as part of a project to help with reconstruction and restoration efforts.
The JABA will also be inviting families that have been displaced by the Tohoku Earthquake and youth baseball teams from the Tohoku region to this year's Inter-City Baseball Tournament.
