From the Yankees: OF Kosuke Fukudome signed to a minor league contract. He is anticipated to report to Triple-A SWB over the weekend.

In an update on his blog, he wrote that he could not help but worry about re-injuring his right lat muscle. He also wrote that his rehab assignment on Saturday will be less about results and more about whether or not he can pitch freely.
Munenori Kawasaki (SEA) has been nominated for the Heart and Hustle Award. From MLB.com's Greg Johns:
Utility infielder Munenori Kawasaki has been selected as the Mariners' nominee for the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association's 2012 Heart and Hustle Award. Each MLB team gets one nominee for the award, which will be announced Nov. 13.
