Friday's rain-out pushed Shohei Tateyama's start to today. That in turn took a start away from Masato Nakazawa. Fumihito Haraguchi (lower back) took some batting practice at the Naruohama training facilities and told reporters that the discomfort in his back was going away. He also caught Hiroaki Saiuchi's bullpen session and did some throwing (from third and first).
Haraguchi first suffered the injury near the end of March. He improved to a point in early May where he was able to attend general workouts, but a few days later had to return to a rehab menu because his back started acting up again.
The Tigers do know want a repeat of what happened in May and plan to be careful with Haraguchi this time around.
