Many people expecting a one-sided game here, but I think we’ll see a very interesting game.
Steve (or anyone else), do you know of a website where I can get stadium information as well as the umpires? I know Yahoo Japan has the weather information pre-game, but I would like to find a website with more detailed information. You know, baseball database such as direction of the wind, umpire’s strike zone, etc, etc. Please let me know!
Man, I don’t know anything about the umpire stats. Google isn’t helping me much here. As far as weather, WeatherNews has bad forecasts but good real time data – their main office is a few blocks from QVC and they have a real time weather cam and stats. That’s probably as good as it gets there. Even the Marines official site doesn’t have anything better.
I don’t expect this game to be one sided at all. we’ve played Ma-kun well all three games we’ve faced him this year, and Ueno-kun is a solid pitcher. Incidentally if you haven’t checked out the lovely advanced stats at Baseballdata-san’s page, I highly recommend it. Here’s Ma-kun’s page:

It even has the left/right batter zone splits.

Nice.
Thank you for the info!
Man,the bullpen outside of Yabuta was a big pile of ass tonight. It’s a good thing we got a long break now.
On the other hand, what an exciting finish. I almost killed a few friends in the outfield in my excitement tonight. Great game.
Yabuta would have joined the pile without Okada.
Haha agree with fighting ham.
A great game. I wonder what Mr. Okubo told the players during the game. Rakuten’s approach definitely changed during the game. Gotta give props for that.
That said, it was a great game!
Yup. Fortunately Okada is a faithful defender.

And while I’m at it, here’s the sac fly and sprint home by T Ogino.
Now with link.
