Some updates from July 19 (thread will be updated throughout the day, as needed):
Masahiro Tanaka (Rakuten) is slated to start Game 3 of the All-Star Series. Source: Sanspo 7/19/2012
To recap, the starting pitchers for the two leagues will be as follows (visitor vs home):
Game 1 - July 20 - Kyocera Dome - Toshiya Sugiuchi (Yomiuri) vs Yuki Saito (Nippon Ham)
Game 2 - July 21 - Botchan Stadium (Matsuyama) - Mitsuo Yoshikawa (Nippon Ham) vs Kenta Maeda (Hiroshima)
Game 3 - July 23 - Iwate Stadium (Morioka) - Daisuke Miura (Yokohama) vs Masahiro Tanaka (Rakuten)
Takeya Nakamura (Seibu) will most likely be limited to a DH-role during the All-Star Series because of his left knee (and left shoulder). He also told reporters he plans to participate in the Home Run Derby. Source: Sanspo 7/19/2012, Sponichi 7/19/2012
Hayato Sakamoto (Yomiuri) is preparing to use a five-colored glove during the All-Star Series -- red and white from the Japanese flag, blue for Kyocera Dome, orange for Matsuyama, and green for Morioka. This will be Sakamoto's fifth straight All-Star appearance. Source: Sanspo 7/19/2012
Sho Nakata (Nippon Ham) could get some playing time at third during the All-Star Series because Seibu's Nakamura likely will not be able to play defense. Nakata played fifty-one games at third at Ni-gun in 2008, but has never played a single game at third at Ichi-gun.
