The latest on Takashi Saito (ARI), from MLB.com's Tyler Emerick:

On Saturday, just 10 days away from the non-waiver Trade Deadline, the D-backs added a veteran reliever without even making a swap. The club reinstated former All-Star right-hander Takashi Saito from the 15-day disabled list and optioned right-hander Jonathan Albaladejo to Triple-A Reno.

... Gibson plans to use Saito in the sixth or seventh inning, but he won't hesitate to throw him later in games because of his experience.

The D-backs will, however, try to limit his workload in order to ease him into a groove.

... When Saito does appear in a game, he will be the first player of Japanese descent to pitch for the D-backs.
