Sho Nakata became the first outfielder in the NPB to record ten or more assists in back-to-back seasons (eleven in 2011 and ten so far in 2012) since Kazuhiro Wada recorded eleven in 2008 and twelve in 2009; and the first Fighter since Yoshihiro Suzuki (1992, 1993).
