Morimichi Takagi and pitching coach Hiroshi Gondo had opposite opinions on Maximo Nelson's performance on Friday night against the Yakult Swallows.

Takagi: "We can not use [Nelson] if he pitches like that."

Gondo: "[Nelson] was much better than expected.  I would like to get him another start.  I will have to think about."

Yomiuri Giants

Michihiro Ogasawara took batting practice at Giants Stadium today.  On Friday, Ni-gun pitching coach Kiyoshi Toyoda was his BP pitcher.  Today, Ogasawara took about one hundred swings against Ikusei pitchers Takefumi Miyamoto and Keisuke Saito.  Source: Nikkan Sports 8/4/2012
