Nippon Ham Fighters

The Fighters traveled to Obihiro on Monday.  The team was split in two: pitchers and young players in one group and the rest in the other group.  It took the first group about five hours to get to Obihiro from Sapporo Station because of heavy rain (a 117-minute delay).  The second group left about an hour and ten minutes later than the first group and lucked out because they were able to transfer off the train and take a bus the rest of the way -- they arrived at the team hotel in Obihiro at about the same time as the first group.
