Yokohama: The Bay Stars dropped their second in a row. They were also handed their fourteenth shutout loss of the year (fifth 1-0 loss). ... Takasaki took the loss and dropped to 5-8 in sixteen starts. His personal two-game winning streak came to an end with his first loss in three starts since his last defeat on July 13 (vs Hiroshima).
Yakult: The Swallows won their second straight and recorded their sixth shutout victory of the year (second 1-0 victory). ...
