Hiroshima: The Carp's winning streak ended at two games. They were also handed their thirteenth shutout loss of the year. ... Bullington took the loss and dropped to 6-10 in twenty-two starts. His three-game winning streak ended with his first loss in seven starts since his last defeat on June 30 (vs Yokohama). ... Soyogi committed a throwing error in the bottom of the 1st that allowed the Giants to score an unearned run. Dobayashi also committed an error: in the bottom of the 8th, led to two unearned runs. Sogoyi (16) and Dobayashi (23) account for thirty-nine of the team's eighty-two errors this season.
Yomiuri: The Giants stopped a two-game losing streak with their fifteen shutout victory of the season. They are also 4-0-1 over their last five against the Carp.
