    Regarding Iwakuma, his start followed Hernandez’ perfect game and he opened with four innings of no-hit ball. His 12 batters retired meant that along with Hernandez’ game the Mariners retired 42 consecutive batters, the longest such streal in MLB since 1974.

    Yes, we were all holding our breath, as absurd as it may have been.
