According to Sports Hochi, the CPBL is planning to host a Winter League in Taiwan during the upcoming off-season.  Some of the detailed mentioned:

  • The league will last a month, beginning some time in late-November.
  • Twenty-eight players per team, twenty or more games per team.
  • Five stadiums will likely be used and could include Taichung Baseball Field (台中), Tainan Municipal Baseball Stadium (台南), and Chengching Lake Baseball Field (高雄).

Focus Taiwan provide the following report back in April this year:

Taipei, April 10 (CNA) Taiwan is set to host a professional winter baseball league, the head of Taiwan's Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) said Monday.

Hwang Jenn-tai said it was very likely Taiwan will host winter league games in central and southern Taiwan at the end of this year.

... Japanese and South Korea teams have wanted to send players to Taiwan to play winter baseball in the past, Liang said, but they did not want to join a league formed by the Chinese Taipei Baseball Association because that would have meant playing against amateurs.

They are much more receptive to the idea with the CPBL taking charge of the new league, Liang added.
