The Giants burned through all sixteen of their position players through the first eight innings of Saturday's game.  Takagi Kyosuke and Seiji Tahara were called in from the dugout in case of an emergency.

Said Tatsunori Hara, "The game was on the line in the 8th.  Kyosuke has experience in the outfield and Tahara has experience in the infield.  Catcher...  Hayato, because he has courage."
