Maui beat the San Rafael Pacifics 13-4 on Tuesday.  Eri Yoshida started the game for Maui and snapped a personal six-game losing streak with her first win since June 23.  Yoshida gave up two runs on one hit and three walks over five innings of work in recording her fourth victory of the year.

Final line: 5 IP, 74-42 NP-S, 19 BF, 1 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 3 BB, 2 SO, 1 WP.

    Eri Yoshida pitched marvelously. She was sold throughout her tour on the mound. The “hit’ should have been recorded as an error on the Right Fielder: the ball came right to him and he simply did not catch it (it was difficult to see in the dark if he even made contact with the ball.) This is not intended to speak disparagingly of the fielder. The pitching, the game, was a real-life fantasy, as Eri seemed to be pitching as well as any outing she may have in her young lifetime thus far.
