The San Diego Padres could be interested in Hiroki Kuroda.  From FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal:

Padres general manager Josh Byrnes long has liked Kuroda, first trying to sign him out of Japan as the Arizona Diamondbacks’ GM in 2007, only to lose him to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Byrnes actually tried again last offseason, but he didn’t have enough payroll flexibility to afford both Kuroda and Quentin.

Under new ownership, that could change.

Takashi Saito (ARI) will be activated on Saturday.  From MLB.com's Steve Gilbert:

The D-backs also plan on activating pitchers Josh Collmenter and Takashi Saito from the disabled list Saturday as well as adding infielder Cody Ransom to the roster. The organization also expects to add a pair of players from Triple-A Reno.

Yoshinori Tateyama will be recalled.  From a Texas Ranger Press Release:

The Texas Rangers announced the following roster moves tonight, one effective today and six other roster moves that will take place tomorrow. ...

RHP Yoshinori Tateyama (#22) will be recalled from Round Rock (AAA).

... Tateyama, 36, will be in his third stint with the Rangers, the others May 21-June 15 and June 29-July 13.  He is 1-0 with an 11.37 ERA (16 ER/12.2 IP) in 11 relief appearances for Texas this season.  He has spent the balance of the campaign with Round Rock, going 4-0 with 6 saves and a 1.13 ERA (5 ER/39.2 IP), posting 45 strikeouts against just 7 walks.  His last Triple-A appearance was yesterday against New Orleans, earning the win with 1.0 scoreless inning and 2 strikeouts (14 pitches/11 strikes).

Norichika Aoki (MIL) did not play on Friday because of some tightness in his neck -- he suffered the injury on Thursday when he collided into center fielder Nyjer Morgan and tumbled to the ground.  Source: Nikkan Sports 9/1/2012
