The Ninth Georgia Award for 2012 went to Ryota Arai for his game against the Yokohama Bay Stars on July 29.

With the Tigers up 2-1 in the bottom of the 4th and runners on second and third and two out, R. Arai hit a home run out to center that gave his team a four run lead.  His older brother, Takahiro, also hit a home run during the game.  The victory helped snap a seven-game losing streak (0-7-1) for the Tigers.  Georgia video - Box score
