Chunichi Dragons

Motonobu Tanishige missed his second straight game on Wednesday because of a right hamstring injury he suffered during a game against the Yakult Swallows on Sunday.  He did, however, take pre-game fielding and batting practice.  He was also available off the bench, but did not play.  Source: Nikkan Sports 9/5/2012

Yomiuri Giants

General pitching coach Kazuhisa Yamaguchi told reporters after Wednesday's game that Yuki Egarashi will most likely move into the bullpen with Yuki Koyama remaining as a starter.  Source: Nikkan Sports 9/5/2012

Hanshin Tigers

Randy Messenger was feeling a little under the weather (sore throat and some tightness in his chest) before his start against the Yomiuri Giants on Wednesday.  Source: Sanspo 9/6/2012

Yokohama Bay Stars

With their loss on Wednesday, the Bay Stars can no longer finish the season with a record at or above .500.  That adds up to eleven consecutive under .500 seasons.
