Oakland A's 4 - Seattle Mariners 2

Daisuke Matsuzaka (BOS) could get dropped from the starting rotation. From the Boston Globe's Peter Abraham:
Manager Bobby Valentine said Sunday that the organization is considering taking Matsuzaka out of the rotation and replacing him with Alfredo Aceves.
... Matsuzaka is 1-5 with a 7.20 earned run average and will be a free agent after the season. With the Red Sox almost certain not to bring Matsuzaka back, keeping him in the rotation serves little purpose.
"I'm not sure," Valentine said when asked if Matsuzaka would make his next start. "Going to see. Have some meetings here with him, too. He was very disappointed yesterday. So was I."
Hisashi Iwakuma (SEA) and Yu Darvish (TEX) could face off against each other since they are both slated to make their next starts on September 14. This will be the eighth time Japanese pitchers have started game against each other. The last was Darvish vs Hiroki Kuroda (NYY) on April 24.
Darvish and Iwakuma faced each other six times in Japan.
