Yakult Swallows' president Tsuyoshi Kinugasa announced today that Junji Ogawa accepted a one-year extension.

Kinugasa spoke to reporters on Sunday and said that they were planning to offer him an extension because of his track record.  With regards to the current season, he said the manager could not be blamed for everything since there were problems that went beyond his control, like injuries.
