Masumi Kuwata made an appearance at a baseball event for youth baseball players in Khabarovsk, Russia today.  Kuwata gave the young players tips on running, playing catch, and fielding.

The event was organized by an NPO group in Japan that is attempting to help spread baseball all over the world, the Japanese Consulate General in Russia, and Khabarovsk City.  Takeshi Nonogaki also took part in the event.

Said Kuwata, "The great [Victor] Starffin came from Russia.  Russians have long arms and legs.  They also have power.  If they practice hard, they will get better."
