Seiichi Uchikawa's right ring finger (avulsion fracture) is still not 100%.
Said Uchikawa, "When I get on a plane, sometimes the finger gets swollen from the pressure. When I wake up every morning, I look at my finger and ask [myself] how it feels."

Nobuhiko Matsunaka (left hamstring) took batting practice at Yahoo Dome during early an early workout session on Tuesday. He took a total fifty-seven swings and hit ten over the fence, including three in a row at one point. Depending on how he is feeling, he might be able to play in his first rehab game on Thursday. Seibu Lions
The Lions will be selling a limited number of Chris Carter t-shirts for 2,800 yen, beginning on September 21. The t-shirt will feature Carter's speech to players before a Softbank Hawks game on August 23.
