The Softbank Hawks claimed the final Pacific League playoff spot today with the Rakuten Eagles game ending in a 5-5 tie.

If my math is correct, the Seibu Lions can easily lock away second place by either winning just one of their remaining two games, or finishing with two ties.  Any other combination will give the Hawks a chance to take second.
