Nobuhiro Matsuda worked out with the Ichi-gun roster today for the first time in about two months -- he was seen taking batting and fielding practice.  The Hawks are expected to add Matsuda to the active for for the last three games of the regular season.  Source: Nikkan Sports 10/4/2012, Sanspo 10/4/2012

Team director Yoshio Murayama told reporters today that he is talking to Hirotoshi Kitagawa about returning next season, most likely as a coach.

Kitagawa worked out at the team facilities in Kobe today and is hoping to get some playing time during his retirement game on Sunday.
