Notes
Game Hero: Takayuki Kishi, Hiroyuki Nakajima
Softbank: The Hawks suffered the franchise's fifth playoff/Climax Series shutout loss. ... Takeda took the loss. He became the first rookie out of high school to start a Climax Series game.
Seibu: This was the Lions fourth franchise playoff/Climax Series shutout. The win also stopped a four-game Climax Series losing streak. ... Kishi got the win. This was the first playoff/Climax Series victory of his career. ... The Lions sent eleven batters to the plate in the 3rd inning.

Awesome pitching matchup, this should be a great game.
Should have been a great duel between these two, but give most credit to the Lions and the rest to the home plate umpire, Honda. Inconsistent strike zone which heavily favors high pitches. Most of you will disagree with me by saying that Kishi and the Lions had no problem putting up 0′s, but you will be wrong. Both starters got nearly fucked in the early part of the game (Takeda did eventually due to great hitting and errors) because this guy is one of the worst umpire along with 栄村, who can’t seem be figure out the zone either.
Whatever, it was a lesson well learned for Takeda and I am sure he’ll bounce back like no other.
Both series just got really interesting! I personally would have went Settsu Otonari Takeda just to make it RLR, but who the hell am I to have an opinion. I really don’t know what to expect from the rest of this series. Gotta love October Baseball :)
