Hanshin Tigers GM Masahiro Nakamura on negotiations with Nishioka: "I am planning to look into a number of things before presenting the offer. And according to Nikkan Sports, the Tigers may include a clause in the contract that guarantees second base -- they can not guarantee short because of Takashi Toritani and they feel no one in the organization was able to win the second base job this season. Source: Nikkan Sports 10/15/2012

“they feel no one in the organization was able to win the second base job this season” Well, if they feel like that then they are plain dumb (we were already aware of this, though).
Why did Uemoto started almost every game of the second half as 2B then? Now they want to switch him to the center field, and move Yamato (who was the regular center fielder this year) to the infield. I don’t know what kind of drugs they are on, seriously.
They should make Fujii pitch while they are at it.
