The Tokyo Kitasuna Little League team (2012 Little League World Series champs) will participate in the ceremonial first pitch before the first game of the Nippon Series.  Kotaro Kiyomiya will throw out the first pitch while his teammates take the field with the Yomiuri Giants.  Singer Yumiko Samejima will sing the national anthem.  Source: Daily Sports 10/24/2012

Keisuke Tanimoto started a Phoenix League game against Softbank today and tossed five shutout innings while allowing two hits.  Tanimoto will most likely be a part of the Nippon Series starting rotation.  Source: Nikkan Sports 10/24/2012

Hideki Kuriyama is planning to ask Yomiuri manager Tatsunori Hara if they can play with the DH-rule at Tokyo Dome during the Manager's Meeting on Friday.  While the rules only mention allowing the DH in PL stadiums, if both managers agree, an exception could be made (although unlikely).  Source: Nikkan Sports 10/24/2012
