2nd round draft Fumiya Hojo spoke to Sankei Sports on Saturday and said, "My goal is to bat clean-up. Even after turning pro, I want to keep aiming to go higher. And if I am going to aim high, then I want to go all the way and set my sights on batting clean-up, on becoming the face of the team. I want to do my best."
He added, "I think they selected me because they need me. I do not want to let them down. I will push myself hard until I sign."
