2nd round draft pick Tatsuro Hamada would like to learn how to throw a sinker from Masahiro Yamamoto.  Hamada already throws a curve, slider, fork, splitter, and palm ball.  He wants to add the sinker because it would give him a "pitch that moves away from the batter."  Source: Nikkan Sports 10/28/2012

2nd round draft Fumiya Hojo spoke to Sankei Sports on Saturday and said, "My goal is to bat clean-up.  Even after turning pro, I want to keep aiming to go higher.  And if I am going to aim high, then I want to go all the way and set my sights on batting clean-up, on becoming the face of the team.  I want to do my best."

He added, "I think they selected me because they need me.  I do not want to let them down.  I will push myself hard until I sign."

The Bay Stars visited Shoichi Ino at the NTT training facilities on Saturday.

Ino already has a nickname (Inovish), but wants Nakahata to give him one as well, like he did with 1st around draft pick Hioryuki Shirasaki (Mocomichi).
