According to Nikkan Sports, the Hanshin Tigers may have decided to end negotiations with Kyuji Fujikawa out of respect for his desire to play in the Majors.  The Tigers had been trying to convince him to remain with the team since partway through the season.

Fujikawa originally planned to go to the US after he got his shoulder evaluated in Fukuoka, but changed his schedule and may have instead went to Okinawa to begin his training.  He is expected to fly out to the US soon in order to meet with his agents.  There are currently no plans for him to meet with the Tigers before the FA filing deadline, which means the next team he speaks to will most likely be from the MLB.

Daily Sports mentions that Tigers have not yet given up on Fujikawa and that Yutaka Wada may get involved in negotiations.

Daily Sports and Sanspo both believe Fujikawa will meet with the Tigers one last time before he leaves for the US.
