Softbank Hawks

Seiichi Uchikawa switched from Mizuno back to ASICS after the season (they were his equipment supplier through to 2009).  The new bats he plans to test are the same types he used in 2008 and 2009: the lengths will drop from 34 inches to 33.5 inches; they will be made of the same white ash; and they will weigh between 890 to 910 grams.  Source: Nikkan Sports 12/9/2012, Sponichi 12/9/2012

Orix Buffaloes

Team director Yoshio Murayama told reporters today that he met Vinny Rottino and Brandon Dickson in the US.

"I asked them about their thoughts on baseball and told them about the kind of baseball we are going for.  We need to take away as many concerns foreign players have about playing and living in Japan," said Murayama.

Rakuten Eagles

Chiba Lotte Marines
